Wikipedia has launched a new feature called WikiVIP. The company wants to add the voices of celebrities and other well-known people to its online encyclopedia.
Considering that the Encyclopedia can handle sound files for its platform, two editors began to approach celebrities and ask for a short sound clip from their voices.
The Wikipedia Voice Intro project aims to build a public and free to use collection by voices of famous people. The first to add a sample of his voice was Stephen Fry, the popular English actor and director.
Hopefully, most people will join the program, now that the first σελίδα has been officially updated. The BBC is also giving Wikipedia a helping hand. In particular he provided the website with short speech clips from some of the proletterhis.
