We all know Wikipedia, but few have heard of Wikiverse. Wikiverse is probably about to become your new favorite mode browsing in the richest encyclopedia on the Internet.
Developed by Owen Cornec, it is a Web-based interactive 3D χάρτης of Wikipedia which visualizes the website as a cosmic web of information. It literally turns the biggest encyclopedia into a wonderful galaxy of knowledge that you can very easily explore with your mouse.
To achieve this, Wikiverse uses thousands of Wikipedia articles as sources, and then creates a map showing countless links and overlaps.
In Wikiverse, each item appears as one αστέρι. To access any Wikipedia entry, simply click on the corresponding star and Wikiverse will display the information you need.
Here we should mention that the app requires a lot of CPU, so don't be surprised if it starts freezing on your mobile device. Most likely your smartphone doesn't have enough oomph to run it.
