Windows 10 1803, 1809 and 1909 support end

Microsoft has discontinued support for Windows 1803 1809, 1909, and 10 versions.

As of May 11, 2021, versions of Windows 10 1803, 1809 and 1909 ceased to be supported by the company. So if you are still using one of these, it is time to consider upgrading.

The official end-of-support announcement means that Windows 10 Home, Pro, Pro and Pro for Workstations for each of these versions will no longer receive Microsoft's security updates.

Windows Update will automatically start installing an update στις συσκευές Windows 10 και τις μη διαχειριζόμενες επαγγελματικές συσκευές που βρίσκονται στη φάση του τέλους υποστήριξης. Για αυτές τις συσκευές, μπορείτε να επιλέξετε μια κατάλληλη ώρα για την επανεκ of your device and completing the update

There are two exceptions:

  • Windows 10 in 1809 Enterprise LTSC 2019 and Windows 10 IoT Core/Enterprise 2019 LTSC will continue to receive updates until January 9, 2029.
  • Windows 10 1909 Education, Enterprise and IoT Enterprise will continue to receive updates until May 11, 2022.

Therefore, if you are using one of the unsupported versions of Windows 10, it is time to upgrade your operating system.

In some cases, Microsoft may automatically upgrade to Windows 10. If you belong to a domain, you may have to wait for your network administrator to press the upgrade button.

However, if not, you can check for the latest version of Windows 10 using the Settings app.

Press Windows + I to open the Settings application.
On the Update and Security tab, check Windows Update for any pending updates.
