Microsoft is preparing to retire another one version of Windows 10, according to the updated lifecycle.
Windows 10 in version 1809, or October 2018 Update, was one of the most controversial feature updates to Microsoft 's operating system, with many describing it as the company' s biggest failure to date.
All of this is due to the fact that this version also contained an error that allowed the user to delete files, Microsoft then decided to suspend the update temporarily, to release about one month later with new errors.
The Windows 10 October 2018 Update was supposed to be retired in May 2020, but due to COVID-19 many were forced to work from home. So the company finally decided to extend its expiration date supportby six months.
But now version 1809 of Windows 10 will be withdrawn next week, and the company warns users to upgrade their devices as soon as possible.
“On November 10, 2020, the Home, Pro, Pro for Workstations, and IoT Core editions of Windows 10, version 1809 will stop being supported. After this date, devices running these versions will no longer receive monthly updates better safetyand quality. We recommend that you update these devices to the latest version of Windows 10 immediately” he says Microsoft.
