The company is using a new File Explorer, which can also search Microsoft's site, and is starting to test this feature with some 20H1 builds for Insider testers enrolled in the Fast Ring.
For the past two years, Microsoft has been trying to integrate its search experience into Windows, Office, Bing and many other services. In Ignite 2018, the company described its plan for a search box that would work "across all applications, Edge, Bing, Windows and Office, so that the search is a matter of one click".
Today's post on the company's blog about Windows 10 20H1 αναφέρει:
In the coming days we will begin to develop a new File Explorer search experience - now powered by Windows Search. This change will help integrate content from online OneDrive with traditional results. We will try this feature on a small percentage, and then make it available to more Insiders as we improve the quality of the experience.
