Η επανεγκατάσταση των Windows 10 είναι ένας εύκολος και αποτελεσματικός τρόπος για την επίλυση όλων των προβλημάτων του λειτουργικού συστήματος. Η Microsoft allows you to refresh the installation of Windows 10 with the Media Creation Tool or the Setup.exe file in the Windows 10 ISO.
If you upgrade using the Media Creation Tool, Microsoft replaces the current operating system files with the new versions. This allows you to troubleshoot Windows 10 issues, broken features or apps, and even problems informations. Note that an upgrade leaves user files intact.
The Windows 10 upgrade also retains the settings you made in Windows 10. So many installed applications and their data remain unchanged.
Unfortunately, after the October 2020 release Update of Windows 10, it is no longer possible to save your apps, settings and files if you upgrade from ISO.
A bug in the October 2020 Update activation package disables it two options – Keeping personal files and apps and keeping personal files.
This means that you will only be able to choose the third one choice "Nothing". But if you choose “Nothing”, all your files and settings will be gone after installing Windows 10 20H2.
Note that the Media Creation Tool works normally when you upgrade from the 2004 version of Windows 10, but if you install the October 2020 Update (20H2) via Windows Update (with the activation package), you will only see the "Nothing" option when during an ISO upgrade and you will lose your files.
As you can see in the image above, the program Windows 10 installer states that the current version can not maintain user files and settings.
But let's see how you can fix the error temporarily until Microsoft releases an update that fixes the previous update….
Follow these steps:
- Open Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update.
- Make it click on button "View update history".
- Click "Uninstall Updates".
- Search for "KB4562830" update.
- Select the package and click on "Uninstall"
- Restart your system.
Then you can run the Media Creation Tool and you will be able to set the option that allows you to keep your files.
