Microsoft announced today, March 7, that the Windows 10 have been installed in more than 800 millions "active" devices, from 700 million that was last autumn.
Microsoft revealed the new number via one tweet from the account of Corporate Vice President of Modern Life & Devices Yusuf Mehdi.

For a moment, the number of Windows 10 installations stopped at "almost 700 million". This was probably the reason why Microsoft stopped providing regular updates on the number, but also why company executives they discovered that they also measured Window 10 on virtual machines.

The above metric is for monthly Windows devices that were "active" in the last 28 days. Includes Windows 10 on PCs, tablets, phones, Xbox consoles, devices HoloLens and Surface Hub and includes all the different versions of Windows 10.
