Windows 10 Anniversary Update turn off Cortana

In the 1607 version of Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Microsoft removed Cortana's on-off. However, the setting is still available if you know where to look.

As with most things of Windows, you can remove the search button or box entirely if you're sure you won't need it.

Just right-click on the taskbar, and then click Cortana - Hidden.

(Win + R in the window that opens, type gpedit.msc and press enter).

When Computer Configuration> Administration Templates> Windows Components> Search> Enable Cortana opens and set the setting to Off.

or Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Search - Allow Cortana set the setting to disabled.
