Microsoft has released a new build of the next version of Windows 10. The Windows 10 Build 18317 trial comes with some improvements to the Windows console, separates the search environment from Cortana, and brings a refreshed look to some pages in Settings.
Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18317 (19H1) is released for Windows Insiders registered in the Fast ring.
The new build does not bring any significant changes, except perhaps the separation of the search from the Cortana feature, which now have different icons in the taskbar, but also some settings for adding fonts, as you can see in the following images:
Another Microsoft change that hopes for better Start functionality is the addition of a separate ShellExperienceHost.exe function. To provide the best possible experience in Start, the company split the process into ShellExperienceHost.exe and StartMenuExperienceHost.exe.
This is expected to have many benefits according to the company, such as the simplification of debugging, but also the separation of Start from possible issues that affect the system.
