Windows 10 build 18947 was accidentally released

Microsoft appears to have mistakenly released Windows 10 build 18947 through Windows Insider. The company of course asked for the device to be restored to the previous version, as build 18947 is said to be an internal version that should not be released for everyone.

So the Insiders who installed this build, especially those of the Slow and Release Preview rings will need to use the rollback function to restore the previous build.

Windows 10 build 18947

Windows 10 build 18947 is part of the 20H1 development, but it is still a canary build, which means it has not been tested internally yet.

Affected users generally have ten (10) days after installing build 18947 to complete the recovery process before losing the ability to do so.

If you have Sense storage enabled, this time window may be reduced. All users involved should complete this step as soon as possible to ensure that they can reset their computer successfully.

The problem as mentioned above with this build is that it has not been tested internally before being released for Insiders. So even if you do not remove it from your computers, you will still be able to install the next build.

Of course, Microsoft had to update for obvious reasons.

According to Dona Sarkar, the company is trying to find out how it leaked the internal version. At the moment the company has removed it from its servers and so no one else can download it.

On the other hand, WZor made them available Windows 10 build ISO 18947 via cloud for everyone.
