Choose the first option.

Alternatively, before signing up, you can go to Settings > Accounts > Windows Backup and enable the “Remember my preferences” option with all the toggles.

Another option is to launch the Windows Backup app from the Start menu, click “Back up this PC,” and wait for Windows 10 to save your data to the cloud.

If you've already backed up your settings, Windows will let you know that you're eligible for free updates.

If not, you will be prompted to create a backup.

Then click on “Register” and wait for the guide to write to you.

Your system will now be enrolled in the Extended Security Update program, which will provide you with security updates for one year until October 13, 2026.
