We all know by now that Microsoft uses pretty aggressive methods to promote it upgrade on Windows 10. The latest reports we have of the "install Windows 10 because we want it" phenomenon come from users Windows 7 and 8 from around the world and reveal that Microsoft once again "plants" the new operating system even if you don't want it. 
A post at reddit which has received a lot of attention in the last few hours reveals that "computers running Windows 7 started an automatic upgrade to Windows 10 without user permission." In the reddit thread there are many users who confirm the fact.
However, there is a lot to consider when someone reports that Window 10 has started installing without the user's permission.
First of all, it is known that as of this year Microsoft has Windows 10 as a recommended update. So if you try to install new updates, the new operating system is selected by default for installation.
Since this particular post started only a couple of days after this month's Patch Tuesday, it is very likely that these users started upgrading to Windows 10 after they were default in the Windows Update list. So it cannot be said that it happened completely without their permission.

If you didn't read the article, Microsoft seems to be hiding it tool upgrade (the well-known Get Windows 10 application) to security updates, so it's hard not to install it.
