Microsoft has launched a new campaign to sell Windows 11 to Windows 10 users.
As you probably know, support for Windows 10 ends on October 14, 2025. After October 14, Windows 10 will not receive security updates or monthly updates as Microsoft officially ends support for the operating system, as it did with Windows 7 , XP etc.
Until then, Microsoft has been driving Windows 10 users crazy by showing full-screen ads reminding them that support ends in less than a year. According to the ads circulating, Microsoft wants you to upgrade your existing PC to Windows 11, or buy a new PC.
Or, better yet, get a new Copilot+ computer.
Microsoft told Windows Latest that these recommendations (not ads) are meant to make people aware of the end of Windows 10 support (lest you think they might be for profit..).
To mention, Microsoft claims that Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs are five times faster than Windows PCs were five years ago.
In short, Microsoft's aggressive policy to promote Windows 11 is holding up well.
Again, I made the transition to Linux, before these popups started on 10. I know that it is possible to install 11 with rufus etc. but even in this version, MS itself says that an unsupported machine running 11 may suddenly stop receiving updates.
