Windows 10 KB4345421 fixes the July updates

Microsoft released KB4345421 last night, a new update to Windows 10 build 1803 (April 2018 Update).

The update has been published on the site Microsoft Update Catalog and is available for 32 bit and 64 bit systems, ARM systems and in a version 2016.Windows 10

KB4345421 is a cumulative update for Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 and is reported to be experiencing various issues caused by the July 2018 updates. Yes once again Microsoft updates seem to be having problems with some systems.

Skype: did the desktop version of the application go?

Microsoft reports that the new update does not add new features to the operating system but:

  • It encounters a 0xD1 stop error due to a race condition after the of the July update.
  • It is experiencing a problem with the DHCP debugger.
  • Addresses an issue that could cause the resp of the SQL Server service with error “H Tcp is already in use ".
  • It is experiencing an issue in the World Wide Web publishing service (W3SVC).

As always, if you plan to install the update, make sure you keep a backup of your system… Microsoft's this, you never know…
