Windows 10 KB4549951 caution deletes files

On April 14, Microsoft released some cumulative updates for its supported versions 10. OR KB4549951 is one of them and According to reports presents to some users.

Environment: Pro Workstation running the 1909 in Domain network.

This update KB4549951 slows down networking. Outlook 365 on hosted Exchange took several minutes to load and froze. Remote Desktop was showing a black screen on the target computers. This update also causes it to freeze VM. Everything continued to work normally after uninstalling and deferring updates for 30 days.

Some people are also reporting that this particular update deletes . For those affected, their files were moved or deleted after the update. Users report that after installing the update, their settings disappeared, and their personal files were moved to the Recycle Bin or simply deleted all together.
