Windows 10 KB4550945 new cumulative update

Microsoft has released some optional cumulative for various versions of . It also includes 1909 which is considered the last stable version of the operating system.

Windows 10 in 1903 and 1909 receives the same cumulative update, which brings many improvements, to the above systems.

We are talking about the cumulative update KB4550945 which as mentioned above brings several notable fixes, such as one concerning Windows Update.

According with Microsoft itself, fixed an issue that caused Windows Update to stop responding when checking for new updates. So theoretically always after the of this cumulative update, everything should work properly.

There are other fixes, like one that fixes issues that various apps had after the from an earlier version of Windows. In other words, if your apps no longer work after an upgrade from Windows 7 for example, and you see a message saying “Bad Image”, this cumulative update could help.

Microsoft says that cumulative update KB4550945 also brings fixes for Windows 10 notifications that were somehow disabled when the were connecting to a VPN on a mobile network.

Last but not least, it fixes a problem that causes what the company describes as "unexpected notifications" when the default applications change.

These updates are currently available as optional, so they will not be automatically installed on your device via Windows Update. All you have to do is check for updates on the Windows Update screen - optional updates or download them from Microsoft Update Catalog manually.

All improvements to today's new cumulative updates will be included in next Patch Tuesday which will also include security patches. The next Patch Tuesday will be released by the company on May 12.
