With this update, Microsoft is finally fixing the "Computing Filters" message when you use filters in File Explorer search results.
Fixed another one error where the search filter freezes or stops responding when users try to change the type of filter being used (for example, file type or date).
Microsoft has also fixed some performance issues caused by explorer.exe, which is responsible for File Explorer, Taskbar, Action Center, and other important operating system components.
In addition to File Explorer fixes, Microsoft has also fixed a problem where some screens display darker colors than expected. This only happens when you use the HDR feature, a feature only available for selected monitors.
Fixed another error where video playback sync does not work when using multiple monitors.
This cumulative update will also address an issue where the system stops responding to mouse or keyboard inputs when users delete files / folders that are synchronized with OneDrive.
As with any other optional update, you should avoid it unless you are experiencing the problems listed above. You can even wait until the next Patch Tuesday to receive the optional updates, mandatory along with the security updates.
The next Patch Tuesday is scheduled to be released on April 13, 2021.
Good evening, do you know if this update fixes the problem of the previous update, with the blue screen when you go to print from Kyocera and other printers?
Thanks in advance.
I do not think so, changelog does not say anything
Good morning. According to Microsoft, it fixes the problem with KB5001567, as it says in the following link: https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/03/16/windows-10-kb5001567-released-to-fix-kb5000802-bsod-printing-issue/
Now, whether it is true, is to be investigated. Personally, I preferred to write a script that runs every few hours and if it detects KB5000802, uninstall it with brief procedures, until Microsoft shows a little seriousness and stops playing with production systems in a critical environment.
Good evening Marianna, send us the script if you want, because if you wait for Microsoft to stop playing you will be disappointed
Good morning. Sorry the notification was spammed. I put it on github: https://github.com/madmat27/Hotfix_KB5000802_Remover. If you put it in a visual studio and compile it, it will give you an executable, which you put in the scheduler and it runs every morning.
