Microsoft today released one support document which warns Windows 10 users that the upcoming information May 2019 Update may not install on their systems if they are using external USB storage devices or SD cards.
The company reportedly noticed problems with "inappropriate drive reassignment" or "inappropriate drive reassignment" and cites it as the main reason for blocking the May 2019 Update.
"Improper disk repositioning may occur on computers that have an external USB device or some SD memory card during installation of the May 2019 Update," the company said. “For this reason, these computers are currently blocked from the λήψη of information.”

Fortunately, there is a quick and simple solution to this issue. Microsoft recommends that users remove any external USB or SD media and restart the update installation.

In the long run, Microsoft plans to address the issue of "improper disk relocation" in a future Windows 10 update.
Microsoft will not exclude the May update to all Windows 10 users, but only to those who use April 2018 Update (Window 10, 1803 version) or October 2018 Update (Window 10, version 1809). Users using earlier versions of Window 10 will be able to update May without any problems.
The May 2019 Update will be released next month. Windows 10 users can delay the update if they so wish. For eager users, the May 2019 Update ISO is already available in MSDN.
