Windows 10 May 2020 Update is coming, followed by Manganese

As you remember, Windows 10 '20:1 am'were officially announced like the next one'2004 version'. So today the brand name of the upcoming version in PowerShell appeared for the first time:

It's called May 2020 Update, but the PowerShell entries also list Windows 10 Manganese, a codename that probably describes the upcoming 20H2.

Windows 10

The May 2020 Update name first appeared in Windows 10 Build 19603 available to Insiders, and visible in PowerShell. So if all goes well and there are no delays due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the will be released sometime in May 2020.

The above trade name is in line with the current Windows 10 naming scheme, and can only be changed if Microsoft decides to use a more targeted name for reasons .

Another interesting hint at of the results of the Get-VMHostSupportedVersion command is Windows 10 Manganese, which is used as a reference to the upcoming feature update, also known as 20H2.

According to the name 20H2, the upcoming version is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2020 (if all goes well). Windows 10 Manganese is expected to be a 1909 version, a small update that works more like a service pack.

Microsoft has not yet given us a date for when the internal development of Windows 10 20H2 will begin.
