Mixed Reality Viewer: Windows 10 features an embedded application called View 3D. The application allows viewing 3D models, and is included in the release Windows 10 Creators Update (1703).
But apparently Fast Ring subscribers have a new version of the app, which has been renamed to program mixed reality viewer or Mixed Reality Viewer.
The Mixed Reality Viewer is expected to be released to the public along with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update in October.
It is currently only available for Insiders who have enabled the Skip Ahead option. The application update is 2.1708.30142.0. The Mixed Reality Viewer comes with a specialized user interface and has the following basic changes:
- New name - View 3D has become a Mixed Reality Viewer.
- New loading animation - a small 3D cube will appear when loading the application and contents.
- New logo with a 3D cube
- All controls are placed at the top of the application (information, controls, virtual camera and full-screen view) for a cleaner look.
- When shooting mixed reality photos, you will notice that the icons “All in Camera” and “Timer” have been placed at the bottom left.
- The timer is working correctly
- If you reduce the size of the window, the controls will be automatically grouped under "More in 3D"
