Windows 10 October 2018 Update (build 1809) seems to be in the final stages of development, and Microsoft has focused on debugging and improving performance before official release of the software next month.
This means that the next builds that will be released for Insiders will not include new features.
The upcoming Windows 10 build 1809 will bring many new features, such as Cloud Clipboard and a dark theme for File Explorer, but at the same time will bring some improvements that are supposed to correct features that disturbed us in earlier releases.
One of them concerns the Windows 10 update process, as for many years, the operating system system it decided when to start the update regardless of whether you were using your computer.
The above behavior has been experienced by many. Windows updates disable every user's work for a necessary restart. So Microsoft has dealt with the issue, and as the upcoming release looks like, the update process will be less annoying.
Microsoft seems to have focused on reducing the time it takes a system to be offline to complete an update installation, doing as many jobs as possible when it is online. This means that Windows 10 will do more preparatory work before requiring a restart.
However, the upcoming Windows 10 October 2018 Update (build 1809) will bring additional improvements to the same theme, the new operating system will use mechanical learning and a new technology to prevent unexpected restarts.
From a technical point of view, what Microsoft promises to do in Windows 10 October 2018 Update is based on a new update model that can predict and fix the right time to complete an update installation process.
"We have trained a standard model that can accurately predict when is the right time to restart the device. This means that we will not only check if you use your device before restarting, but we will try to predict if you left your device just to put a cup of coffee and intend to return soon, "says the company.
Obviously, the education of this system to be 100 percent accurate is not something simple. But using machine learning technology, the feature will improve itself over time. The company reports that internal testing has been successful so far. Let's wait and see what happens when it launches.
The development of Windows 10 October 2018 Update will be completed this month and Insiders will have RTM build over the next two weeks.
The public release of the operational will begin in October and will take place gradually.
