The KB4468550 update is supposed to restore the sound to the affected systems. According to Microsoft:
This update addresses an issue where after you install the Intel Smart Sound Technology driver (09.21.00.3755 version) through Windows Update or manually, the computer sound may stop working.
The patch is released via Windows Update for affected systems, but also from Microsoft Update Catalog. The system must be restarted to complete the installation.
Update KB4468304 reportedly fixes an error in the HP systems that causes BSOD to boot after upgrading to Windows 10 version 1809. Microsoft confirmed this problem last Friday night, and the update is now available through Windows Update but also from Microsoft Update Catalog. Microsoft states:
After installing the HP Keyboard Driver (11.0.3.1 version) through Windows Update or if you installed it manually, HP devices may experience a BSOD: WDF_VIOLATION error.
At this time, Windows 10 October 2018 Update is still suspended and cannot be installed by any system.
