FFU firmwares contain pre-installed Windows 10 on ARM systems and promise to “sit” on Windows 10 Out-Of-Box after flash. Released firmwares are ready-to-go and require no further action on your part to get Windows 10 working on device you.
The images provided contain only the latest Window 10 from the ARM Insider Fast build channel in English (United States). Of course you can then install any language packs you want from Windows.
These images do not contain Windows 10 Mobile, and the flash will erase Win 10 Mobile completely from your device. So it would be a good idea to keep a backup of your data just in case.
With FFU firmware, you can install Window 10 using the 32GB eMMC space.
Take some time to read the flash instructions before passing the FFU firmware to your device, as a special step is required to ensure that Windows 10 is working properly on your device.
The project recently released images of Windows 10 in ARM for Lumia 950 XL. LumiaWOA has the firmware you need and you can download it to install using WPinternals. Installing Windows 10 Mobile will be replaced.
