Windows 10 S Mode: Microsoft had announced the change of the Windows 10 S version in Windows 10 mode, and it seems to have kept its promise automatically. S or S Mode essentially limits the use of Win32 software, a system we know from the beginning of Windows.
The new Windows 10 S mode is expected to be available in most versions of Windows 10, before only Pro users could upgrade (?).
Microsoft is preparing a new feature that will allow everyone to "switch to S mode" directly from the "Settings" application. So changing Windows mode will be a matter of a few clicks.
This feature was first observed in Windows 10 build 17686, which was released through the program Windows Insider in rings Fast and Skip Ahead
The new build includes switching to S mode and will probably be an extra feature to see with the Redstone 5 upgrade expected in autumn. The Settings app in the new trial version contains a new option called Switch to S Mode.
It remains to be seen how Windows 10 S Mode will evolve in upcoming releases of Redstone 5, as the next version continues to grow daily.
