Windows 10 are asking to upgrade to Windows 11 even though they don't meet the requirements

To some users of the option to upgrade to , even though their computers do not meet the system requirements.

As you may already know, the Windows 11 comes with a pretty strict set of minimum requirements. Installing the OS requires systems with at least 4GB of RAM and a relatively modern CPU, which has made it impossible for many users to upgrade.w11

So there are reports that claim otherwise. Among them, Twitter user @PhantomOfEarth indicated that the update was offered in a virtual one Windows 10 without TPM (another requirement for installing Windows 11) that only had 2GB of RAM. Another user on Reddit also claims that the upgrade was offered on his school computer which only had 2GB RAM, 1.12GHz CPU, and DDR3, even though it already performed very poorly with Windows 10.

This all appears to be a bug, as the upgrade never actually completes. If a user accepts the offer, the system compatibility checker will run and show that the computer in question is not supported, so Windows 11 cannot be installed.

Of course, there are solutions for installing Windows 11 on unsupported computers. But it is not recommended to upgrade your PC if it does not meet the minimum requirements, especially those related to RAM or CPU, as you will likely experience performance issues.

If you've been offered the upgrade and you know your computer isn't supported, the best option for now is to simply ignore it.
