Earlier this month, a senior Microsoft executive confirmed that Windows 11 24H2 was not yet generally available for all systems. So when will general availability begin?
In its recent announcement about improved data protection from Copilot, Microsoft confirmed when the 24H2 version of Windows 11 will be released.
The company he says:
The move to the Microsoft 365 app as the entry point for Microsoft Copilot will align with the annual feature update release of Windows 11. The changes will roll out to managed PCs starting with the optional preview release on September 24, 2024, and then with the monthly release security update on October 8 for all supported versions of Windows 11. These changes will be applied to Windows 10 PCs starting next month.
So it looks like Windows 11 OS 24H2 will be released as a preview towards the end of this month (as a C-edition) and the official general availability for all compatible systems will be on October 8, 2024 via the monthly Patch Tuesday .
It is worth mentioning that Windows 11 24H2 is already available for Copilot+ devices and the October 2024 Patch Tuesday will bring the operating system to other compatible systems as well. For those who don't know Copilot+ computers (Arm64 and AMD64) have a minimum of 40 NPU TOPS.
If you're now wondering if your PC is compatible, Microsoft isn't changing the system requirements for the new version, although devices with very old processors will no longer be able to bypass the requirements.
GOOD MORNING WE ARE ALWAYS READY!!!
