Windows 11 24H2 KB5044384 fixes 8,63 GB, SFC, and scannow

Microsoft has released a new update of Windows 11 version 24H2. The new update (KB5044384) raises the build to 26100.2161, and is a preview, non-security (C-release) update for October 2024.

But it brings a lot of bug fixes like the one related to UI, 8,63 GB, DirectAccess, and SFC commands, e scannow among others.

The update is for Insiders enrolled in the Release Preview Channel of Windows 11 of build 24H2 (Build 26100).

Installation

Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. In the available Optional updates you will find the link to install the update.

  1. I installed this update, restarted the computer but it still says it wants to restart again.
    I have done this over 5 times and the problem persists.
    Any ideas?
