The next one information Microsoft's Patch Tuesday for Windows 11 24H2 is getting ready and will include big changes and many new features, mainly appearance-related.
Windows 11 24H2 December Patch Tuesday (the last of the year) will bring new jump lists to the Start menu, system tray with new layout options, dynamic lighting improvements and more.
The current implementation of the layout dateς και ώρας καταλαμβάνει πάρα πολύ χώρο, και δεν υπάρχει κάποια επιλογή για να την κάνετε συνοπτική. Με την επερχόμενη ενημέρωση θα μπορείτε να ορίσετε μια συντομευμένη διάταξη ημερομηνίας και ώρας στο system tray επιλέγοντας την επιλογή “Εμφάνιση συντομευμένης ώρας και ημερομηνίας” (Show abbreviated time and date) από τις Ρυθμίσεις.
Likewise, you will be able to permanently hide the notification bell icon from the settings. But you will be able to check the notifications by clicking on the Date and Time section.
New Jump lists
Right-clicking an icon pinned to the taskbar will bring up a menu, which Microsoft calls a Jump list. In the upcoming update, you will be able to open an item in the jump list with admin rights.
How; You should press the Shift + icon Enter ενώ κάνετε κλικ στο στοιχείο για να το ανοίξετε. Το συγκεκριμένο μενου δεν θα είναι ορατό αν δεν πατήσετε τα πλήκτρα της shortcuts.
Dynamic lighting settings page
Dynamic Lighting will give you the ability to customize the lighting effects.
You will be able to set new patterns for Wave and Gradient effects, or set outward, forward, backward and inward directions for Wave, while Gradient will only support the Forward option.
How do you see all this?
My personal opinion: The company should avoid such changes (in appearance) through Patch Tuesday which is known to include security updates.
There are currently hundreds of millions of Windows PCs in circulation, with different configurations and hardware.
So in case something goes wrong with the update and the new features it includes it should be removed from the system. But the same update also includes the security updates…
What can you say, it's Windows.
