Five days ago, the Microsoft released via Patch Tuesday update KB5051987 for Windows 11 version 24H2.
But as reported by various communities such as Reddit and Microsoft's help forum, many users encountered a major problem...
Some have reported that, in addition to File Explorer failing to launch, they are unable to open folders from the desktop, save Office files, or even download files.
Clicking on a folder icon may reveal subfolders, but the media contents remain inaccessible…
Some users on Microsoft's help forum and Reddit also reported that the update KB5051987 cannot be fully installed. The update gets stuck at a certain percentage for hours before finally showing an error code.
These are some of the issues that are constantly reported, but there are others, such as problems with taskbar animations, the camera, and more.
Microsoft continues to "fix" the "unfixable" version 2024 of Windows 11.
But every new update designed to fix pending bugs ends up creating other problems.
Among the bugs resolved were those affecting digital audio converters, USB audio drivers, USB cameras, and passkeys. The updates also fixed several security vulnerabilities, including some that were rated critical.
However, other glitches have surfaced, including a twitchy mouse, an undetectable camera, .NET apps that can't be installed inside Windows Sandbox, and the new taskbar animation that doesn't work properly. You may also encounter other hiccups. One person on the Windows Feedback Hub reported that after installing the update, their battery life is only showing 2,5 hours compared to 6 hours before. Another person found that the clipboard history no longer copies items from Microsoft Word...
Every annual Windows update has bugs, especially since it's released to millions of users.
However, Windows 11 version 24H2 is one of the most problematic builds ever released.
Since its official launch last October, the 2024 edition brings with it a number of known issues, many of which have not yet been resolved.
George is still wondering what he is doing here….

I had Windows 7. But as you know, if you don't pay to install the defective Windows 11, I'm now convinced that Microsoft is loading you with viruses. I installed Linux Ubuntu and calmed down. Now they have all the applications that Windows had. Now Microsoft can put its Windows where it knows.
