Windows 11 is the joy of OEMs, and Asus recommends buying a new PC

The date Windows 10 end of support It's no longer a surprise and, following Microsoft's numerous hints to upgrade to Windows 11, Asus also shares a similar view.

The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) company recently published a support document on the necessity of upgrading to Windows 11 and how Copilot PCs will play an important role in the coming years.

The support document , published on May 19, starts with the upcoming retirement of Windows 10 and mentions how upgrading to the new operating system can help you stay protected. It then reminds you that the update window closes after October 14, 2025, and that Microsoft will not release any feature or security updates after that.

Then, Asus' support document mentions Copilot as the future of Windows. It continues to use the same tone about the usefulness of AI in everyday life and how you can speed up your work with it. Creating images, summarizing text, finding anything with Recall, and a few other innovations.

Asus already has a few products with NPUs that meet the official requirements of Copilot+ computers, and you can upgrade if you want.

However, it makes no sense to see Copilot as a core component of the operating system. Copilot+ PCs represent a tiny fraction of the overall Windows 11 market, and those using the operating system without it have no problems or are missing anything. An operating system should perform well at basic tasks before focusing on additional features like AI integration.

Despite the huge push, Copilot remains a niche product. You can access Copilot through a browser, just like any other AI assistant. The only thing you'll miss is local AI processing, which is currently limited to a few features.

“ If your current laptop isn’t suitable for Windows 11 or Copilot+, now is the perfect time to upgrade to a device that’s built for it ,” Asus says in the support document, recommending everyone make the switch.

If the above didn't convince you, Asus claims that Windows 11 is not just an upgrade, but a "smart move" that Windows 10 users shouldn't miss.

It should be mentioned that Copilot+ computers from Asus or any other OEM cost much more than any Windows 11 computer. You can of course use Windows 11 comfortably with a regular computer without artificial intelligence.
