Windows 11 free upgrade from 2022

After Microsoft officially announced Windows 11, we all learned that the will be for from this week.

Most likely, Windows 11 will be released about the same day as the 21H2 version of Windows 10, so we should expect them in October or November.

The company also said that the new operating system will be available as a free upgrade on some Windows 10 compatible devices. The official Windows Twitter account has given us more information about the timing of this free upgrade.

More specifically, devices running Windows 10 could upgrade to Windows 11 starting in 2022. So while the new operating system will be officially released this year, Windows 10 users will have to wait a few months before they can upgrade.

"Windows 11 will be released later in 2021 and will be developed for several months. "The start of the upgrade to Windows 10 devices already in use today will begin in 2022, the first half of the same year," the Windows Twitter account posted.

Of course, Microsoft initially stated that the free upgrade would be available later in 2021.

"We are also working with OEMs to make sure the Windows 10 PCs you are buying today are ready to upgrade to Windows 11. The free upgrade will be available on Windows 10 PCs this holiday season and will run until 2022 "This week, we're going to launch an early version of Windows 11 in Windows Insider - a community of Windows fans whose comments are important to us," Microsoft said in the initial announcement.

There will probably be more information as we approach the release date of Windows 11, so be patient for now. Or rather follow the way we suggest to this post.
