Microsoft has fixed a loophole exploited by users looking for an upgrade path to Windows 11 and wanting to avoid the company's hardware requirements.
The tweak was quietly released in Windows Insider build 27686 which brought several neat tweaks to the build such as updates to the Windows Sandbox Client preview and a much needed increase from 32GB to 2TB for FAT32.
However, the documentation says nothing about ending a feature that bypasses Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements check.
According to X user @TheBobPony, the solution “setup.exe /product server” is not supported in the latest version of Windows.

The switch still works in the Windows 24H2 update, but the hardware check is no longer bypassed in the latest version of the Canary channel (27686).
Windows xp forever the last good microsoft operating system..
