The windows 11 έκαναν πιο εύκολη την εναλλαγή του προεπιλεγμένου προγράμματος περιήγησής σας από Edge σε Chrome ή Firefox.

Right now, if you try to change the default browser to Chrome or Firefox, you will need to manually change the file type for all possible web-related formats. This includes HTM, HTML, HTTP, https, SHTML, WEBP, SVG and even PDF. If you forget to check a box for all the necessary options, you won't be able to use Chrome or Firefox as your default browser.
This complicated technique is very annoying, and there are users who say that Microsoft is trying to impose its preference on them. After the reactions of users who spotted the change, Microsoft also had reactions from competitors such as Google and Opera.
Hiroshi Lockheimer, Google SVP, said the new change [default browser] came from "a company that claims to be the most open and with the most options". This is far from an "option". Firefox executives criticized also Microsoft for using “additional and unnecessary steps to maintain defaults settings of the browser".
Microsoft later confirmed that the company is listening to feedback from consumers and that changes will be made in the future.
Microsoft has finally decided to change the complicated default browser setting of Windows 11 with a new preview update.

There's a new "Set Default" button on the Settings page, which makes it easy to set Chrome or Firefox as your default browser on the OS system.
