Windows 11 version 24H2 users can install this month's optional update. KB5060829 is here and it includes some changes to the taskbar, a new tool for transferring files between computers, and a long list of other improvements.
With KB5060829, Windows 11 will get build number 26100.4484. It finally brings small icons to the taskbar, one of the missing features of the Windows 10 taskbar.
Additionally, with the update , the new PC Migration application begins to appear (!) , which will allow transferring files from one computer to another during the initial installation.
However, users will only see the app page. The actual feature will come in a future update. So the company added an app that essentially doesn't exist, as a placeholder... probably to keep its audience warm...
Other changes include improvements to File Explorer performance for managing large files, fixes for better appearance, new accessibility features, and more.
