Windows Insiders who watch the Beta Channel (the second most stable channel of the Windows Insider) will soon have their next big update Windows 11 of Microsoft.
As you may know, Windows Insider Program is designed for users and businesses interested in gaining early access to upcoming features. Windows Insider has three channels (standby) - Dev Channel (formerly Fast ring), Beta Channel (formerly Slow ring) and Release Preview.
Preview of Windows 11 is currently available on the Dev Channel. Unlike the other two channels, Dev Channel gives you access to new enhancements as soon as they are ready for public preview, but builds from Dev Channel come with many bugs.
For example, a bug in Windows 11 Build 22000.71, which was released this week, caused malfunctions in File Explorer (explorer.exe) and line work if you click on the calendar flyout.
According to Microsoft executives, the company plans to push the preview version of Windows 11 to the Beta Channel later this month.
Unlike Dev Channel, Beta Channel will provide timely access to all new features of Windows 11 and these versions will be less risky. However, newer versions of the Beta channel will not be released as often as the Dev channel.
So if you want to access newer features, but do not want to experience critical bugs, the Beta channel is for you.
Windows 11 Build 22000 is believed to be an RTM version (from release to manufacturer).
Microsoft recently completed Build 22000, which will be Windows 11's Core OS, and likely RTM candidate. Insiders are currently testing cumulative updates for the OS system and OEMs have already received the preview, but some bits will be delivered later.
With the help of telemetry from Windows Insiders, Microsoft tries to "collect" as many imperfections as possible before releasing the final version to everyone.
