Windows concepts created by fans of the operating system are always fun, as they often offer a completely different version than the one released as official.
Part of the appeal of such concepts is that they highlight what fans of the product want.
Recently, YouTuber AR 4789, who often creates Windows concepts, posted a new Windows 7 concept video.
The video starts with OOBE and contains the familiar window that prompts users to connect to the internet, just like in Windows 11.
After that, we're greeted by the Windows desktop with the Start menu and Widgets, each of which combines the classic Windows 7 GUI style with a fresh touch from the design of recent versions of Windows.
Finally, you'll see File Explorer and a hint of the Settings app that shows some of the personalization options:
The changes made to this concept show how good Windows 7 was for its time. Even today, Microsoft has not made much progress with the operating system's GUI.
What has definitely changed is the stability of Windows 7….
