From Windows Vista και μετά, όλα τα συστήματα της Microsoft έχουν το χαρακτηριστικό User Account Control, ή απλά UAC. Αυτό το χαρακτηριστικό έχει σχεδιαστεί για να βελτιώσει την ασφάλεια του λειτουργικού συστήματος.
One of the side effects of this feature is that your network drives are inaccessible for programs which you run with administrator access.
Let's give an example, try to run Total Commander with elevated administrator rights and you won't see the disk drives that exist on your network. Consider running apps like Admin regularly.
In this article, we'll see how to enable access to mapped network drives in enhanced rights apps.
Windows 10, 8, 7 and Vista come with a special choice policy that unlocks network drives for administrator accounts:
Open Registry Editor (Win + R type regedit and press enter).
Follow the route:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
If you do not have this key, just create it.
Create a new DWORD value named EnableLinkedConnections, and set it to 1.
Restart your computer and you're ready.
You can now access your network units even if your programs run with administrator privileges.
