Η Microsoft ανακοίνωσε σήμερα τη γενική διαθεσιμότητα (G.A. από το general availability) του Windows Server & Hosting 2025 starting with version 26100.1742. It is the latest version of the Server operating system and is a Long Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) release.
Extended support for Windows Server 2025 will be for nearly 10 years until October 10, 2034. Mainstream support, meanwhile, will last until October 9, 2029.
Microsoft says:

In terms of features and enhancements, Microsoft claims massive performance improvements. The company details more storage improvements in a separate post. Other improvements include those related to GPU virtualization in the form of GPU Partitioning or Multi-Instance GPU, VBS enclaves, and more.

Alongside the release, Microsoft confirmed three known issues. They include an English-related error during installation, a CPU (very high thread count) issue, and a 'boot device inaccessible' boot error in Internet Small Computer Systems Interface (iSCSI) environments.

- Windows Server 2025 might not run as expected on devices with high core count
