WinSCP (Windows Secure Copy) is a very powerful file transfer application, via FTP, SFTP, WebDAV and SCP protocols over SSH or TLS/SSL.
Its main function is to transfer files between a local and a remote computer as securely as possible. It is free and open source.
The WinSCP application is based on the SSH protocol implementation of the PuTTY software and the FTP protocol of the Filezilla software.
WinSCP 6.3 changelog:
- Single large file can be downloaded using multiple SFTP connections.
- Support for OpenSSH certificates for host verification.
- File hash can be used as a criterion for synchronization.
- Improved behavior when duplicating and moving remote files.
- SSH core upgraded to PuTTY 0.80. That includes support for HMAC-SHA-512 and mitigation of “Terrapin” vulnerability.
- TLS/SSL core upgraded to OpenSSL 3.
