Sony Music CEO Doug Morris confirmed today that the new streaming music service will be launched tomorrow during the WWDC 2015 keynote.
According to Venture Beat, Doug Morris revealed the new service during an interview at the Midem conference in Cannes. He simply said, "It happens tomorrow."
The rumors that Apple has planned a new music streaming service have been at least the last two years. As it turns out they will become reality in this year's WWDC.
Morris did not reveal details of Apple's pricing plans for the new service, but said he preferred ads-backed models.
So Mr Morris responded indirectly, implying that the service would be charged.
Apple should provide a fairly reliable and economical streaming service as competition in this industry is very large.
