Your location was shared, 5.398 times over the last 14 days

Have you realized how often your smartphone shares your position (location) data with various companies? More than 5000 times in just weeks. This is a little shocking, but it's true!Map pin location

The security investigator issued a warning about this event: “Your location [data] has been shared 5.398 times by Facebook, GO EX cms, Groupon and seven other apps in the last 14 days.”

During their study, researchers watched 23 Android smartphone users for three weeks.

The researchers concluded:

The participants did not know how closely they were being watched by different applications, and many were surprised by the final results.

With his help App app Ops privacy, into a over an eight-day period, participants collectively reviewed app permissions 69 times, blocking 122 additional permissions for approximately 47 different apps.

Ultimately, the team believes that if a user decides to take privacy seriously on a daily basis, they will definitely go back to privacy settings and limit the applications that monitor users more closely.

In iGuru, we have previously touched on the specific event, that is, what rights an application automatically takes and how we can prohibit or restrict it.

This article will find it here.
