From now on, the application YouTube Music will be pre-installed on Android 9 devices and Android 10.
It looks like Google is putting another nail in the coffin of Google Music Play as it stops having it preinstalled on Android devices and puts YouTube Music in its place.
In May at 2018, Google had announced YouTube Music. Back then, this particular application came with two “flavors”: the free version that contains ads and the paid version called YouTube Music Premium. The free version lives and reigns and it looks like the developer is pushing it further.
So this app is going to replace the Google Music Play app. Google announced the transition in an article on the official YouTube blog.
Google Music Play and YouTube Music are currently pre-installed you can install it manually from the Play Store. But soon the opposite will happen.
