According to an announcement hacker iH8sn0w on Twitter, Apple has fixed the exploits used for jailbreak by evasi0n7 with its release iOS 7.1 beta 4.
Some time ago, the news was released that the evad3rs - the team behind evasi0n - had lost some exploits they could use to create a jailbreak for iOS 7.1. It remains to be seen whether this is true or not.
The demand for jailbreak is certainly lower than it was two years ago when Apple had very few customization options in its operating system. Things have evolved since then, but jailbreaking is still being used due to apps and services that Apple does not allow its App Store.
