During the weekend, Kansas City Star published a blame for a horrific rape case that took place in Maryville. The details of the case arose because the authorities seemed to be uninterested in the case.
On Monday, the Anonymous, announced that they are demanding “immediate research” about how the local authorities handled the case. In a press release, the hackers announced the (business Maryville) #OpMaryville, stating:
If Maryville does not defend these young girls, if the police are very cowardly or corrupt to do their job, if the judicial system has left you, then we have to stand. Mayor Jim Fall, your hands are dirty. Maryville, wait for us.
This is not the first time that Anonymous took the initiative because they felt that justice was not being served, which would impose further investigations on the authorities.
