2 hackers were arrested for attacks on a travel agency site

Two perpetrators have been identified by the Electronic Crime Investigation Division () of repeated internet attacks on a travel agency website

The Cybercrime Prosecution Division of the Hellenic Police identified two citizens online who were carrying out cyberattacks on a website s, which operates in the field of providing travel services, via the Internet.

A complaint was filed by the aforementioned company, followed by a preliminary investigation by the Electronic Crime Division for infringement of the law on access to computer data in a preliminary investigation ordered by the Athens Prosecutor's Office.

Initially, as the thorough and thorough investigation revealed, there were repeated cyber-attacks - in the form of Denial of Service (DoS) - against the servers of this website by unknown perpetrators.

The attacks were aimed at preventing the smooth provision of the company's online services and caused, according to the complainants, a loss of ticket worth about 290.000 euros.

Digital followed of the log files of the website's servers by specialized officers of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate, during which the electronic traces and the geographical location of the two perpetrators were identified.

The perpetrators were summoned to an apology and the case file was filed with the Prosecutor's Office of Athens.
