The UK Health Service website distributes malware

nhsIn an age where internet security is of the utmost importance, webmastersThe NHS had to learn this lesson the hard way. Reddit users have discovered that the UK's National Health Service website, used by millions of people, is redirecting its users to malware-infected websites. More than 800 NHS pages linked to an infected domain provide an opportunity for malware to spread through an official government portal.

One millionof the NHS, reported that the unexplained incident was not due to hackers,

Όταν κάποιος ανακάλυψε το σφάλμα, αγόρασε το "ανορθόγραφο" domain, το φόρτωσε malware and began to distribute them. (He wrote "Translate.googleaspis.com" instead of "translate.googleapis.com.")

The NHS added that once the problem is resolved, it will put one in place control to ensure it doesn't happen again.
