Whitney Beall, a resident of Lakeland, Florida, did several reckless things last night. Not only did she choose to drive her car under the influence of alcohol, but she decided to livestream it on Periscope her wild ride, as a result of which she was arrested on her own.
The WTSP 10 News reports that his 23-time viewer Periscope saw in live stream her accomplishments and called 911, saying that Beall has repeatedly stated online that she is drunk and that she was driving around the North Lakeland.
He also said he had a broken rubber.
The caller had figured out the location of the drunk driver from her details regions that could be seen from the windows of her car. Officers located Beall's livestream, followed it and soon identified Carpenters Way where they spotted the car with a flat front tire and arrested her.
Beall was checked for breathless breathing, found with outdated alcohol limits, and then was taken to Prk County Prison.
MrfaceLakeland Police Chief Gary Gross said after the incident that the local police department will train its officers on how to use Periscope and other similar technologies, to be able to respond to such incidents in the future.
