Much has been heard about the new iPhone 8, and one of the rumors is that Apple wants to remove the home button from the screen of the upcoming device. A new post states that replacing the home button will bring something much better.
From Bloomberg report that they have seen pictures of the new devices, which will replace the natural button on the screen with a thin bar at the bottom and gesture controls.
So instead of a virtual one home button, as some people expect, you can drag the fine bar in the middle of the screen to open a multi-task tray on iOS 11 or to return to your home screen.
It also appears that Apple will provide a rolling platform to the iPhone 8 and the new iOS 11, although it is not yet clear how you will have access to it.
Without a home button, how do you access Siri? "Hey Siri" is not always reliable. Maybe Apple will just include a new Siri button on the new base.
Also, no one knows what happens if you tap to access the home screen, what happens if you play a game that requires movements near the base point.
You may need to change all your old habits with the iPhone 8, but it may be worth it to enjoy a new screen. Of course, it should be mentioned that historically the public has shown that it does not want even small changes in things that have been established. For example, notice what happens to each small or large change made to the Facebook UI. On the other hand we are talking about fan boys….
We have to wait until September 12 to see how it works and if there are any reactions.
