At the same time, the development program, which states that the release date for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS will be at 26 April 2018, was also posted.

The development starts in two days from today, that is, on October 26. From this date on, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS "Bionic Beaver" will follow the same path as its predecessors. This means that two Alpha and two Beta versions will be released during the six-month development cycle.

According to the release schedule, the first Alpha release is expected at 4 January 2018 and the second will be released in 1 in February, but only for opt-in flavors.

On 8 March, we will have the first beta release and the Final Beta will be released at 5 April 2018.
