The upcoming upgrade of Windows 10 Redstone 4 will bring substantial improvements to the system, and Microsoft promises that the installation will take only 30 minutes.
The development team has made the fastest installation by reducing the time the installer has connected to the internet, as they have managed to carry most of the processes after the system has rebooted to the online stage. 
In other words, most of the installation process of the upcoming system will be completed before the system reboots, and everything will happen in the background, so the machine will take less time offline.
However, according to the company, this will not apply to all systems. Redstone 4 can be installed in 30 minutes only on compatible hardware systems. For everything else, you'll need to connect online to complete the installation.
Reducing installation time is one project which Microsoft started dealing with before the Fall Creators Update was rolled out. In this particular update the time after reboot was reduced to 38% and in total reached 51 minutes.
With further optimizations in Redstone 4 reduced the average time will reach 30 minutes, 63% faster compared to the previous version.
